She washed and set up all the cups for tea.
She decided how to cut and set up all the tomatoes and cucumbers.
The little one also wanted to contribute by helping, but we didn't server these. We saved them for our home snack.
I attempted strawberry goat cheese spread (chevre) with honey. Unfortunately, I used too many strawberries so had to add in some cream cheese.
We had a spread of apricot scones, almond jam toasts, cut strawberries (which she cut up), veggies, quiche lorraine, and apple strudel muffins which her friend and her brother made.
She also loves pouring tea for her sister.

ReplyDeleteThanks Kelli, glad you enjoyed it. I'm glad I was able to finally link up with Kids in the Kitchen. Tea parties are a favorite around here. I usually post our pic on the Facebook site.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I am just getting ready for my daughter's fifth birthday - tea party themed! Thanks for some good ideas.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessica. We did a tea party for my second daughter's 1st birthday. It was more for the older one, but it was a lot of fun. I'll try and get some of those up onto the the Facebook site if you get a chance to visit it. This gives me an idea to have an album dedicated to all our afternoon tea party pics on there. Hope all goes well!
DeleteLove the colorful cups :)
ReplyDeleteI have to remember to serve healthier snacks next time I host one ;-)

Thank you. No matter what you serve, it's the fun they have that is more important sometimes. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you! I appreciate all the feedback. I'm glad you liked this simple tradition of ours of hosting and garden tea parties.

I'm sure you're proud of your daughter. She can already manage to host a tea party and prepare the menu. When she grows up, I'm sure she can host great parties since she got to practice her skills since she was young. In case you're gonna host a tea party for your friends and family members, you can use loose tea leaves and other healthy tea options available today. Not only are they tasty, but they’re also good for your health. :)

Really very obsessed with these photos from kids’ tea party. Good to see kids helping to host this bash. Anyway, my daughter’s birthday is also coming soon and she wants a beautiful mermaid themed party that I will host at some indoor rental party Venues in NYC. It will be great if you can share some décor ideas.
