Gratitude

Recently, a friend shared a link how people who are grateful are able to be more positive and have a better outlook on life.  I've found that as I get older and more things and responsibilities come into my life, it's harder to be positive or grateful when things go wrong.

No more, today I start a gratitude list and share it with everyone so that I hold myself accountable for the things I say.  I hope that you can join and contribute as well.

The small things in life that I am grateful for:
  1.  The man I married and hope to share the rest of my life with.
  2. The two children we have, who are perfect for us.
  3.  My mom and sisters.
  4.  Staying at home to see each of them grow and change.
  5.  Not having to rush out the door every morning so we can do things like dance in PJ's, or watch the little ones run around with the buns showing.
  6. Have new friends over for a lunch/play date.
  7.  Eat homemade popsicles when its' hot outside.
  8. Grow a garden and have my children know the names of all the herbs so they can go pick them on their own when I need something for a dish.
  9.  Listen to my children tell our friends the names of all the herbs and vegetables.
  10.  Watch them watch birds, bugs and dig for worms and be excited about it.
  11. Lay outside on a watching the clouds (rare in SoCal), and have a picnic in the afternoon with real tea.
  12.  Hear squeals of joy when daddy walks though the door.
  13. Go to the beach whenever we want.
  14. Go on hikes and camping trips that are stressful but so fun.
  15. The giggles and fun with dress up and dance especially now with tap shoes and costumes
  16. Cooking in their play kitchen along side me in the family kitchen where they make soup from bits and beans and spices from my cabinets.
  17. Falling in love with each of them each and every day.
